On Thursday morning, a pair of scraps were announced to the UFC 154 lineup. The November 17th event takes place inside Bell Centre in Montreal, so of course a couple of Canadian-trained fighters were added to the show.
A middleweight affair between up-and-comer Francis Carmont (Pictured) and Tom Lawlor, as well as a featherweight tilt with former top contender Mark Hominick and Pablo Garza were confirmed by the UFC’s Canadian Twitter account.
Carmont’s TriStar training partner and reigning welterweight king Georges St-Pierre is scheduled to make his highly-anticipated return in the card’s featured attraction. GSP will unify his 170-pound crown against interim champ Carlos Condit if his surgically repaired right knee continues to progress the way it has.
Here are the athletes expected to appear in the Octagon’s return up north:
Pablo Garza vs. Mark Hominick
Francis Carmont vs. Tom Lawlor
Martin Kampmann and Johny Hendricks
Carlos Condit (UFC interim welterweight champion) vs. Georges St-Pierre (UFC welterweight champion)
