Donald Cerrone (Pictured) claimed he owned Melvin Guillard when the two trained together at Jackson’s back in the day. On Saturday night at UFC 150, it appeared as though Guillard’s time with the Blackzilians had paid off.
However, Cerrone managed to rally after eating a vicious left hook in the opening ticks of their lightweight shootout. “Cowboy” unleashed a head kick that had his buddy dazed and confused and he followed up with a right hand that put “The Young Assassin” to sleep.
The pair earned ‘Fight of the Night’ for their back-and-forth battle. Cerrone also took home ‘Knockout of the Night.’
Cerrone revealed at the post-fight presser that he owes Uncle Same some money, so most of his bonus checks will be put towards paying off his taxes.
Following the scrap, Cerrone continued to petition for a fight against Anthony Pettis. UFC president Dana White admitted he was interested in the matchup.
UFC 150 took place inside Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
