To say UFC 152 has taken some twists and turns would be an understatement. Following Thursday’s bombshell that UFC 151 was no longer in existence, the Octagon’s following pay-per-view show received quite the boost.
Instead of the flyweight finals between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson headlining the September 22nd festivities, light heavyweight king Jon Jones (Pictured) will now defend his throne against Vitor Belfort in the night’s featured attraction.
Wait up. What happened to Lyoto Machida?!
Twelve hours after UFC president Dana White announced Machida would be granted his rematch against Jones in Canada, “The Dragon” decided he needed more than one month to prepare for their sequel. No worries, because “The Phenom” is here to save the day.
Air Canada Centre in Toronto hosts the extravaganza.
