Sarah Kaufman (Pictured) is wasting no time in trying to get back in the win column. Less than 10 days after getting submitted by Strikeforce bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey, Kaufman has agreed to face Kaitlin Young at “Invicta 3.”
“Kaitlin is a very strong 135 pounder,” said Kaufman. “She’s got a lot of height and is quite technical in many areas. I’m excited to get in there against her, especially in the wake of the worst performance of my career. I’m hungry to get back in there and prove why I’m ranked at the top of my weight class.”
Like Kaufman, Young will look to get of the schneid following a 2ndRound submission defeat to Liz Carmouche at “Invicta 2.”
Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas hosts the October 6th shindig. Tickets are currently on sale.
No word from the promotion on how the scraps will be made available for viewing. However, Invicta offered a live stream of their first two events on their official website.
Jessica Penne and Naho Sugiyama will battle to become the organization’s first atomweight champion in the night’s featured attraction.
