“UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson” jumps off tonight inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Oh, my bad…
Courtesy of another vicious visit from the injury bug and Jon Jones’ decision to decline a last-second scrap against Chael Sonnen, Zuffa was forced to cancel their first event since taking over the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2001.
Thankfully for all of the athletes involved, every fight originally scheduled for Saturday’s card has found a new home – outside of Dan Henderson, who will be riding the pine for several weeks rehabbing the torn MCL in his knee.
UFC 151’s 11 bouts have been scattered across four events. A couple of the scraps were postponed just a few weeks, while three of them will have to wait until the Octagon’s final primetime show of 2012 comes rolling around in December.
