“UFC 153: Aldo vs. Edgar” takes place October 13th inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As long as the injury bug doesn’t come rearing its ugly head – AGAIN – the show’s official 12-bout star-studded roster has once again been finalized.
A featherweight affair between champion Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar (Pictured) headlines the fiesta. Aldo was slated to defend his throne against Erik Koch, but “New Breed” was forced to bow out with an injury this past week.
Light heavyweights Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Glover Teixeira serve as the night’s co-featured attraction. As if that weren’t enough, Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva, Demian Maia vs. Rick Story and Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado round out the star-studded main card.
Although an official announcement hasn’t been made, the UFC’s Facebook page is expected to stream the preliminary bouts live at approximately 7PM ET/4PM PT. FX kicks off the televised portion of the festivities by airing four prelims beginning at 8PM/5PM.
The pay-per-view broadcast airs live in North America at 10PM ET/7PM PT.
