Strikeforce Luke Rockhold

According to MMAWeekly, Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold (Pictured) will defend his crown against Lorenz Larkin on November 3rd.

Rockhold will be looking to make his third successful title defense. The 27-year-old has already defeated veteran Keith Jardine and Tim Kennedy this year. He captured the belt by beating Ronaldo Souza last September.

Speaking of “Jacare,” many believed the Brazilian solidified his next dibs status by putting Derek Brunson to sleep in August. However, it appears Strikeforce officials believe Larkin’s undefeated record warrants next crack at the hardware.

Larkin made his 185-pound debut by posting a lopsided unanimous decision victory over Robbie Lawler in July. The only “blemish” on his résumé came in a no contest against Muhammed Lawal after “King Mo” tested positive for a banned substance following his KO win.

Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City hosts the festivities.

Showtime will broadcast the main card beginning at 10PM ET/PT.

Here is the card’s current roster:

Lorenz Larkin vs. Luke Rockhold (Strikeforce middleweight champion)

Frank Mir vs. Daniel Cormier (Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix champion)
