During Thursday’s press conference in Las Vegas, World Series of Fighting announced former WWE and Strikeforce superstar Bobby Lashley (Pictured) will be competing for the upstart mixed martial arts company when the promotion takes its talents to NBC Sports Network (former known as Versus).
WSOF struck a one-year deal with NBC Sports Network. The first show takes place November 3rd at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Nevada.
Former WEC bantamweight king Miguel Torres headlines the festivities against a yet-to-be determined opponent. Former UFC fighters Gerald Harris and Josh Burkman will also collide.
Lashely’s nemesis for the card will be announced shortly.
Since parting ways with Strikeforce following a disappointing August 2010 loss to Chad Griggs, Lashley went on to collect two consecutive wins in smaller organizations en route to capturing the Shark Fight heavyweight title.
However, “The Dominator” found himself on the wrong end of a lopsided unanimous decision defeat to James Thompson at “SFL 3” in May.
