Thanks for stepping up, Stephan Bonnar (Pictured), but the Gambling Gods profess you shouldn’t even bother boarding that flight to Brazil.
According to the powers that be, Anderson Silva is an astronomical 13.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to dispose of Bonnar at UFC 153. Bonnar, meanwhile, checks in as a whopping 8.5-to-1 underdog to snap “The Spider’s” 16-fight winning streak.
This is the largest spread for a UFC main event in recent memory. Topping Silva’s line would be when welterweight king Georges St-Pierre was pegged as high as a 16-to-1 favorite in his meeting with Matt Serra at UFC 69.
Does anyone remember how that fight turned out? #UpsetSpecial
UFC 153 takes place in Silva’s backyard of Rio de Janeiro. HSBC Arena hosts the October 13th fiesta.
