UFC Middleweight Yushin Okami

Yushin Okami (Pictured) and Alan Belcher will be dancing this New Year’s Eve weekend. The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced Thursday evening the middleweights will collide once again at UFC 155.

Belcher collected his fourth consecutive win by posting a TKO victory over Rousimar Palhares in May. The 28-year-old broke his right hand on Palhares’ face during the assault and has been riding the pine ever since.

“The Talent” was slated to battle Vitor Belfort at UFC 153 until “the Phenom” was promoted to a light heavyweight title tilt against champion Jon Jones at UFC 152. Belcher claimed it was a blessing in disguise because it gave him additional time to rehab a spinal fracture.

Okami snapped his two-fight skid last month by collecting a TKO victory against Buddy Roberts at UFC 150. The former top contender hung a unanimous decision win over Belcher at UFC 62 back in August of 2006.

UFC 155 takes place December 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Either MGM Grand Garden Arena or Mandalay Bay Events Center will serve as host.

Here is the event’s updated lineup:

Chris Leben vs. Karlos Vemola

Matt Mitrione vs. Phil DeFries

Alan Belcher vs. Yushin Okami

Chris Weidman vs. Tim Boetsch

Joe Lauzon vs. Gray Maynard

Chael Sonnen vs. Forrest Griffin

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos (UFC heavyweight champion)
