Franklin, Henderson and Parisyan Headed to the ATL

After months of speculation, the UFC officially announced the addition Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, and Karo Parisyan to their UFC 88 fight card which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on September 6th. The event will be headlined by Chuck Liddell taking on Rashad Evans. 

Former UFC middleweight champion, Rich Franklin, will be taking on Matt Hamill, in his fight light heavyweight fight in over five years.  His was victorious in his last bout over Travis Lutter at UFC 83 last April.

Former Pride 185-pound ad 205-pound champion, Dan Henderson, will be taking on Rousimar Palhares. Henderson will be making his third Octagon appearance, however the accomplished PrideFC fighter is only 0-2 in the UFC.

Karo Parisyan will be facing Judoka Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Parisyan is looking to bounce back after his controversial loss to Thiago Alves at UFC 83.

It is also rumored that current middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, will be facing Patrick Cote on this card. Silva just made his successful light heavyweight debut in the UFC this past weekend at Fight Night 14, where he demolished James Irvin in only 61 seconds.
