A middleweight fight between Francis Carmont (Pictured) and Tom Lawlor was the third scrap to air live during Saturday’s “UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit” pay-per-view broadcast.

Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada is hosting tonight’s festivities. The show is headlined by a welterweight title unification scrap between champion Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit headlines tonight’s festivities.

Here is the play-by-play from Carmont vs. Lawlor:

1stRound:

Lawlor immediately clinches him against the fence. They get separated due to inactivity. Carmont tags him with two kicks to the body. Very slow-paced fight thus far. Carmont tries a takedown, but gets caught in an arm-in guillotine choke on the way down. Carmont lands a big elbow just before the horn blares.

2ndRound:

Carmont scores with a big knee to the midsection. Lawlor presses him against the cage again. He’s working hard for a double-leg takedown and finally secures it. Carmont works his way to his feet, but gets planted right back down. Lawlor attempts another arm-in guillotine choke.

3rdRound:

Carmont has to know he needs a finish. He apparently doesn’t, because Lawlor easily clinches him against the cage once again. They are separated due to inactivity. The ref has been quick to pull that trigger tonight. Lawlor is working for a single-leg takedown, though seems content with holding Carmont against the cage.

Even Carmont’s hometown crowd boos him for winning the decision. UFC president Dana White just tweeted, “Who cares! They both lost that fight.”
