During this week’s edition of FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight, it was announced the Octagon will be returning to The OC on February 23rd. UFC 157 takes place inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Although no bouts were reported for the event, the rumor mill is suggesting the light heavyweight scrap between former champion Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson could headline the bash.

The 205-pounders were expected to collide at UFC 156, but it appears company officials may be pumping the breaks on the potential top contender bout for the February 2nd show. The Super Bowl Saturday lineup is getting pretty star-studded without them so the promotion might be better served pushing the contest back a few weeks.

In addition, both fighters live and train in Southern Cali.

The UFC has hosted five events inside Honda Center (formerly known as Arrowhead Pond). Most recently, the company’s debut on FOX last November was held in the home of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.

Junior dos Santos knocked out former heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez in 64 seconds to capture the crown that night.
