UFC Lightweight Gray Maynard

When it rains, it pours. Just minutes after announcing a torn knee had forced Shane Carwin out of his bout against Roy Nelson, an undisclosed injury has now yanked Gray Maynard (Pictured) from his UFC 155 shootout against Joe Lauzon.

As we all know full well, the Octagon show waits for no man. It will be Miller Time on December 29th, as Jim Miller has agreed to serve as substitute.

Miller is looking to bounce back from May’s critical submission loss to Nate Diaz. After winning seven consecutive scraps, he’s now dropped two of his last three.

Lauzon is fresh off an impressive victory over Jamie Varner at “UFC on FOX 4.” J-Lau took home ‘Fight of the Night’ and ‘Submission of the Night’ honors for August’s W.

The 28-year-old has rattled off wins in three of his past four fights.

The lightweights will appear in the card’s pay-per-view broadcast.

MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the festivities.

Here is the show’s revised lineup:
