The UFC has medically suspended 13 athletes who competed in last Saturday’s “UFC on FUEL TV 6” event. Featured fighters Rich Franklin (Pictured) and Cung Le could be riding the pine for as long as six months.
Franklin needs to have his left thumb examined, while Le requires an x-ray on his right elbow before returning to action. Both fighters can come back sooner with a doctor’s note.
Regardless, Franklin will have to sit the sidelines for 45 days after getting viciously put to sleep by Le.
UFC on FUEL TV 6 took place inside Cotai Arena in Macau.
Because China lacks the governing body to sanction a mixed martial arts show, UFC officials oversaw the event – as customary with most out-of-country Octagon cards.
