UFC middleweight Chris Weidman (Pictured) underwent successful shoulder surgery Wednesday. The undefeated 28-year-old is hoping to return to action in four months.
“Off to get surgery today. Excited to get this over with and get rehabbing and come back stronger than ever. Thanks for the support,” Weidman tweeted Wednesday. “I’m told I’ll be at 100 percent at 4 months if everything goes smoothly.”
Weidman was slated to battle Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 prior to getting stung by the injury bug. His teammate, Constantinos Philippou, has since agreed to face “The Barbarian” on December 29th.
“All-American” owns an unblemished 9-0 professional record. He was last seen steamrolling Mark Munoz in July.
