Stefan Struve (Pictured) vs. Mark Hunt: Take Two. According to MMAWeekly, the heavyweights will finally do battle when they collide at “UFC on FUEL TV 8.”
The 265-pounders were initially slated to fight at UFC 146, but a knee injury, which ultimately required surgery, forced Hunt out of May’s meeting. Hunt has been riding the pine ever since.
He was last seen knocking out Cheick Kongo in the Octagon’s return to Japan at UFC 144.
Struve, meanwhile, has been violently making his way up the heavyweight totem pole. “Skyscraper” has rattled off four consecutive victories, all in devastating finishing fashion, with his most recent coming in September’s TKO victory over Stipe Miocic.
Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan hosts the March 2nd scrap.
The UFC has yet to officially confirm the contest.
No other bouts have been rumored for the card at this time.
