Move over, Arianny Celeste. There’s a new MMA queen in town. Freshly-crowned UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (Pictured) has just cracked AskMen.com’s “Top 99 Women of 2013” club.
Rousey notched #43 on the list, topping the likes of reality star and bitter rival Kim Kardashian, hottie Bar Refaeli and supermodel turned business mogul Heidi Klum.
Celeste, who barely slid in at #95 in 2011 and was voted #68 last year, didn’t make the cut in 2013.
AskMen doesn’t judge women simply off their looks, it’s based on desirability. Anyone can have a pretty face and a slammin’ body, but it takes the total package of “beauty, brains, ambition and charm” to earn the nod here.
“Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence was this year’s top dog.
Here’s what AskMen had to say about the “Rowdy” one:
“Ronda Rousey has proven to be a sexy starlet and an awesome mixed martial artist. Not only has she charmed audiences on Conan and ESPN this year, but she’s also proven time and time again that she has the fighting skills to back up her cuteness: She won a bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics and a Strikeforce Bantamweight belt in 2012. As the No. 1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, she’s a game-changer and is making something happen that UFC Commissioner Dana White promised would never occur: a woman is to compete in the Octagon. She’s the first female MMA fighter to sign with UFC, and you can expect her debut in early 2013.”
