With all the hysteria surrounding the rapidly-filling and talent-rich “UFC on FUEL TV 8” lineup, the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion quietly slipped in a pair of stellar scraps to the “UFC on FUEL TV 7” roster.
A light heavyweight shootout between Ryan Jimmo (Pictured) and James Te Huna, as well as a pivotal welterweight contest with Gunnar Nelson and Justin Edwards was added to the February 16th event.
“Big Deal” made his highly anticipated big league debut by putting Anthony Perosh to sleep at UFC 149. Jimmo hasn’t lost a fight since his professional debut in February 2007.
Te Huna will be riding a three-bout winning steak into the contest. He was most recently seen posting a decision victory over Joey Beltran in July.
Nelson is unbeaten in his 11 pro outings (1 draw). The up-and-coming 24-year-old easily submitted DaMarques Johnson in his Octagon debut in September.
Edwards has alternated between wins and losses over his past five fights. He served up an upset special in September by tapping out Josh Neer.
Where the two bouts will appear in the lineup depends upon how the rest of the card rounds out.
Wembley Arena in London, England hosts the festivities.
FUEL TV will broadcast the featured bouts live in North America.
