Beantown, are you ready? Regardless, the Octagon is headed your way.

On Friday morning, UFC president Dana White (pictured) announced TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts will host UFC on FS1 1.

The August 17 event kicks off the official launch of FOX Sports 1, FOX’s new network that is expected to rival ESPN.

“We are FINALLY going back to Boston at the TD Garden on Aug 17th for the launch of FOX Sports 1!! We are bringing a SICK card :)” White tweeted just moments ago.

No fights have been confirmed for the lineup thus far.

The UFC made their lone visit to White’s hometown in August 2010. UFC 118 also took place inside TD Garden. That show hopefully helped ease the pain for Bostonians after the Lakers beat the Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals just a couple of months prior ;).

UFC 118 garnered 14,168 fans for a live gate of $2.8 million.
