With just 10 days remaining until the curtain is drawn on “UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II,” the promotion announced a pair of changes to the December 29th lineup.
As previously reported, Karlos Vemola suffered a broken cheekbone during training and has been forced out of his middleweight shootout against Chris Leben. “The Crippler” now faces former Strikeforce fighter Derek Bronson.
In addition, an undisclosed injury has pushed Cody McKenzie out of his tango with Leonard Garcia. Up-and-coming featherweight Max Holloway (Pictured) has agreed to serve as a last-second substitute.
Leben was slated to battle Vemola on the main card, but the new matchup could get demoted to the prelims given the swap and recent addition of the lightweight bout between Jamie Varner and Melvin Guillard to the lineup.
Holloway vs. Garcia will appear in the prelims.
UFC 155 takes place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
