Early Thursday morning, the planet’s most prestigious mixed martial arts promotion announced via Twitter that former welterweight top contender Josh Koscheck (Pictured) will welcome Robbie Lawler back to the big leagues at UFC 157.
This marks Lawler’s second stint with the planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion. He posted a 4-3 mark inside the Octagon between 2002-2004. After his departure, “Ruthless” moved up to the middleweight division where he captured the Superbrawl, Ion Sport and EliteXC titles.
The 30-year-old will be transferring over from Strikeforce where he fought his last eight bouts. He went just 3-5 under Strikeforce’s watch.
Koscheck, meanwhile, looks to bounce back from a split decision defeat to Johny Hendricks. The 34-year-old has won half of his past four fights.
UFC 157 takes place February 23rd inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
