EliteXC Injury Suspensions Released

The California State Athletic Commission has handed down the medical suspensions resulting from EliteXC’s “Unfinished Business”event this past weekend. A total of 11 fighters are now going to have to sit their required times before they are allowed to compete again. Reigning EliteXC middleweight champion, Robbie Lawler, will have to sit out 60 days due to a skull laceration. 

Brandon Tarn: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a forehead laceration
Drew Montgomery: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a left-eye-area laceration
Mike Cook: Minimum suspension of 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons. Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to right lateral knee injury
Wilson Reis: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to skull laceration
Travis Galbraith: Minimum suspension of 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons. Suspended 180 days with no contact for 180 days due to a possible broken rib
Justin Eilers: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Shayna Baszler: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Marlon Mathias: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Thomas Denny: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Scott Smith: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Robbie Lawler: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to skull laceration
