Strikeforce King Mo Muhammed Lawal

Bellator put plenty of their eggs in Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal’s (Pictured) basket, and the former Strikeforce champion delivered in highlight reel fashion in his promotional debut.

Lawal looks to advance to Bellator’s Light Heavyweight Tournament finals by beating Emmanuel Newton on February 21st. The event takes place inside Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I said it after my quarterfinal win, and I’ll say it again, I’m looking to smash this dude,” Lawal said. “Emmanuel is a tough guy, but I know where my game is at, and if I focus on me, we won’t have any issues. I’m always looking for that first round knockout, and that’s it.”

Shahbulat Shamhalaev and Rad Martinez serve as the show’s featured attraction when they meet in the Featherweight Tournament finals.

Spike.com will offer a live stream of the preliminary bouts at 8PM ET/5PM PT, while Spike TV broadcasts the main cards at 10PM ET.

No other fights have been confirmed for the lineup at this time.
