Vinny Magalhaes (Pictured) claimed on Twitter that he could beat Phil Davis, and now the jiu jitsu specialist will get the opportunity to back up his promise. The light heavyweights will meet April 27th at UFC 159
The bout was announced on this week’s edition of FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight.
Magalhaes is perfect through his past six scraps. He submitted Igor Pokrajac in his return to the big leagues at UFC 152.
Davis has posted an unusual 1-1 (1 NC) mark over his last three outings. “Mr. Wonderful” owned a wonderful 9-0 record prior to his current run.
Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey hosts the festivities.
