The UFC dubbed Saturday’s scrap between featherweight king Jose Aldo (Pictured) and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar a “Superfight.” According to two of the three judges sitting cageside, it was a lopsided fight.
While Edgar appeared to rally in the later rounds, Aldo still took home a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47) victory to retain his title. “Scarface” has now rattled off 15 consecutive victories, a torrid run that began in May of 2006.
It may be hard to believe, but Edgar has now dropped three straight bouts.
Meanwhile, current UFC lightweight top contender Anthony Pettis has requested a tango with the baddest 145-pounder in bare feet.
UFC 156 took place Saturday inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
