The Nevada State Athletic Commission has medically suspended 13 athletes who competed in Saturday’s “UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar” event. ‘
Frankie Edgar (Pictured) could be riding the pine for up to six months with a possible left orbital fracture. The former lightweight champion can return to action sooner with a doctor’s note.

Frankie Edgar: Minimum suspension until April 4th, with no contact until March 20th. Must obtain clearance for a possible left orbital fracture, otherwise suspended until August 2nd.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: Needs clearance by an ophthalmologist for a possible right eye injury.
Antonio Silva: Suspended until March 5th, with no contact until February 24th with chin laceration.
Alistair Overeem: Suspended until March 20th, with no contact until March 5th.
Joseph Benavidez: Suspended until Febeburary 24th, with no contact until February 17th with forehead laceration.
Evan Dunham: Minimum suspension until April 4th, with no contact until March 20th. Ophthalmologist must clear right orbital blowout fracture, otherwise suspended until August 2nd.
Gleison Tibau: Suspended until February 24th, with no contact until February 17th.
Jay Hieron: Suspended until April 4th, with no contact until March 20th.
Jacob Volkmann: Suspended until March 5th, with no contact until February 24th with right eye contusion.
Yves Edwards: Suspended until March 5th, with no contact until February 24th with left eye laceration.
Chico Camus: Suspended until February 24th, with no contact until February 17th.
Francisco Rivera: Minimum suspension until March 20th, with no contact until March 5th. Must obtain clearance from orthopedic doctor on right hand/wrist, otherwise suspended until August 2nd.
Edwin Figueroa: Suspended until February 24th, with no contact until February 27th with left eye laceration.
