Between UFC president Dana White’s fight week video blogs, the UFC Countdown and Primetime shows, the organization has released some pretty solid behind-the-scenes footage in the past.
However, their latest piece featuring reigning featherweight king Jose Aldo (Pictured) prior to Saturday’s UFC 156 shootout with Frankie Edgar is quite compelling.
Cameras followed Aldo around for last six hours leading up to the superfight. “Scarface” is seen FaceTiming with his baby daughter on his iPad, practicing knees and kicks in his hotel room, making the walk from his room to the arena, etc.
The fighters might get annoyed with having to allow this kind of access on game day, but let’s hope the UFC decides to make this a regular thing. At least for championship fights. Pretty cool stuff, IMO.
