The UFC’s second female fight is booked. On Monday afternoon, the promotion announced former Strikeforce bantamweight champ Miesha Tate (Pictured) will make her big league debut against Cat Zingano at “The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.”
“Cupcake” owns a 13-3 professional record, with her last six scraps coming under Strikeforce’s watch. The 26-year-old lost her bantamweight crown to Ronda Rousey last March.
Tate rebounded nicely from the defeat by submitting Julie Kedzie in August.
Zingano is unbeaten through seven outings, with all but one scrap ending via devastating fashion. She most recently submitted Raquel Pennington at “Invicta 3.”
This marks the first women’s bout the UFC has scheduled since Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche was set in December.
The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada is expected to host the April 13th bash.
