After ravaging countless UFC shows in 2012, the injury bug has just taken its first major bite out of a 2013 event. According to MMAFighting, an undisclosed injury has forced Rory MacDonald (Pictured) out of his highly anticipated rematch against Carlos Condit.
The welterweight affair was slated to co-headline UFC 158 on March 16th. Condit is expected to remain in the lineup. No word on who might serve as a last-minute substitute to face the former interim welterweight champion.
It is unknown how long MacDonald will be forced to ride the pine.
Condit is victorious in three of his last four, but lost a title unification bout to reigning 170-pound king Georges St-Pierre in November.
Speaking of GSP, he headlines the pay-per-view broadcast against Nick Diaz.
Bell Centre in Montreal hosts the gig.
