A welterweight shootout between Robbie Lawler (Pictured) and Josh Koscheck kicked off Saturday’s “UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche” pay-per-view broadcast.

Honda Center in Anaheim, California is hosting tonight’s festivities. The show is headlined by a bantamweight title tilt between champion Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche.

To the surprise of nobody, Koscheck goes for an early takedown and gets it. Lawler fights to his feet. Koscheck’s nose is trickling blood, I’m not sure how that happened. Lawler’s back down. Fans are quick to pull the boo trigger after the Schaub/Johnson scrap. Lawler wiggles free and nails him with some knees to the body. He’s unloading several bombs and referee Herb Dean brings the assault to an end. That stoppage seemed a tad premature.
