Last week, Alan Belcher (pictured) issued a tattoo bet to Michael Bisping after hearing the Brit PROMISE he would knock Belcher out in the opening round of their UFC 159 shootout.
In a nutshell, if Bisping KOs Belcher within the first five minutes, Belcher will get the British flag with Bisping’s face tatted on his chest. If Belcher knocks out “The Count” in the first frame, then Bisping has to get the same hideous Johnny Cash tattoo on his left arm that Belcher sports.
Fast forward seven days and now Belcher’s NFL buddy wants a piece of the action. Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive end Wallace Gilberry isn’t willing to make any wagers involving body ink, but he will put his $300,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom up for grabs.
“You see where we’re sitting at – $300,000 car,” Gilberry said while rolling in his plush ride with Belcher and his baby daughter. “If you knock my man out, we’ve got the [car’s pink] slips. I’m sure you’ve got something to that value. You put your slips up, or whatever tips my fancy, and I’ll put my Phantom up.
“You knock my man out in the first round, it’s yours.”
Gilberry went undrafted coming out of Alabama in 2008. The journeyman has been with four different NFL organization since that time.
I wonder if Gilberry has ever seen ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary “Broke”? If not, the 28-year-old better take some detailed notes.
UFC 159 takes place April 27 inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The middleweights co-headline the pay-per-view broadcast.
Bisping has yet to respond to either bet. Your move, Michael…
