UFC Middleweight Vitor Belfort

The Ultimate Fighting Championship was all about fight announcements on Wednesday. A day after confirming Renan Barao defends his interim bantamweight crown at UFC 161 and middleweight king Anderson Silva puts his strap up for grabs at UFC 162, as well as a slew of other scraps (check out our homepage), the promotion reported several fights for “UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold.”

Jaragua Arena in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil hosts the May 18 festivities. FX will broadcast the main card live in America.

A middleweight bout between Vitor Belfort (pictured) and former Strikeforce champ Luke Rockhold headlines the show. But that’s not breaking news.

However, a 185-pound contest with Constantinos Philippou and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was confirmed today as the card’s co-main event.

In addition, all of the fights listed below were just added to the lineup.

Here is the show’s current roster:

Mike Rio vs. Francisco Trinaldo

Roger Hollett vs. Fabio Maldonado

Gleison Tibau vs. John Cholish

John Lineker vs. Azamat Gashimov

Paulo Thiago vs. Lance Benoist

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Evan Dunham

Cezar Ferreira vs. C.D. Dollaway

Constantinos Philippou vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza

Vitor Belfort vs. Luke Rockhold
