It was a big night for UFC heavyweight Patrick Berry. Not only did he collect an impressive win over Antoni Hardonk, but he also took home Knockout of the Night and Fight of the Night honors, earning him a total of $120,000 in fight bonuses for his vicious 2ndRound TKO at UFC 104.
Speaking of getting slapped silly, Hardonk received $60,000 for being on the receiving end of those devastating strikes as he joined Berry for Fight of the Night inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
UFC president Dana White stated that Anthony Johnson should have won Knockout of the Night after he put Yoshiyuki Yoshida to sleep in just 41 seconds in their bout, however due to Johnson’s inability to meet the 171-pound weight limit, he was ineligible for the award.
Stephan Struve walked away with $60,000 after he earned Submission of the Night for his 1stRound triangle choke of UFC newcomer Chase Gormley.
