Well, Matt Riddle (pictured) wasn’t standing in the unemployment line for too long. Just 10 after getting fired from the UFC for flunking his second drug test in three tries due to marijuana, the welterweight has joined Legacy Fighting Championship.
“Yep I’m fighting @legacyfighting can’t wait it’s gonna be a blood bath,” Riddle tweeted Friday evening.
No word on when Riddle will make his debut for LFC.
“Deep Water” initially collected an impressive submission win over Chris Clements at UFC 149, but the fight was overturned to a no contest after marijuana was found in his system. Riddle then posted a less than impressive unanimous decision victory over Che Mills last month at UFC on FUEL TV 7.
Marijuana was once again discovered in his urinalysis and that verdict was subsequently changed to a no contest.
The 27-year-old is the owner of a medical marijuana license in his home state of Nevada.
Riddle holds a 7-3 (2 NC) professional record. All of his scraps have taken place inside the Octagon after graduating from “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ in June 2008.
