UFC Lightweight Clay Guida

According to Sherdog.com, an undisclosed injury has forced featherweight Clay Guida (pictured) out of his UFC on FOX 7 scrap against Chad Mendes.

Mendes is expected to remain in the April 20 lineup, as the UFC is reportedly scouring its roster for a suitable substitute to meet “Money” in the night’s prelims.

No word on how long Guida will be sidelined.

Mendes was last seen steamrolling Yaotzin Meza at UFC on FX 6. The former top contender has spent a total of two minutes and 26 seconds inside the Octagon in his last two wins.
