With less than a week remaining until the curtain is drawn on UFC on FUEL TV 9, the show’s featured attraction appears to be in serious jeopardy. According to Swedish news outlet MMANytt, Alexander Gustafsson (pictured) has suffered a cut that has put Saturday’s scrap against Gegard Mousasi in limbo.

The Swedish Mixed Martial Arts Federation will now determine whether Gustafsson can compete in six days.

The UFC has yet to confirm the light heavyweight’s status.

Gustafsson has won six straight fights. “The Mauler” was seen in December living up to his nickname by steamrolling former champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Mousasi concluded his Strikeforce career in emphatic fashion by tapping out Mike Kyle in his last outing. “The Dreamcatcher” has posted an impressive 20-1-1 mark since 2006.

If the UFC decides to shelve the matchup for another day, as the bout order currently stands, the lightweight tango between Ryan Couture and Ross Pearson will headline Saturday’s gig.

Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden serves as host.

Here is the show’s revised roster if Gustafsson vs. Mousasi is pulled:
