UFC president Dana White was beyond hesitant to allow women to compete inside of his Octagon. Two female fights later and the ladies have proven they know how to put on a show.
Cat Zingano (pictured) and Miesha Tate took center stage Saturday night at “The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale,” with the victor earning coaching duties opposite bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey on TUF 18 and next dibs at her crown once filming wraps on the reality show.
After a thrilling back-and-forth battle, Zingano rallied to post a vicious TKO win over “Cupcake” in the third and final round.
At the post-fight press conference, Tate was irate with referee Kim Winslow for what she perceived as an “early” stoppage. Take a look at the video below and judge for yourself.
