As expected, World Series of Fighting will return June 14 to host their third event. “World Series of Fighting: Fitch vs. Burkman” takes place inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A welterweight rematch between former UFC top contender Jon Fitch (pictured) and Josh Burkman headlines the gig. Fitch previously submitted Berkman at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 4 back in April 2006.
Kickboxing sensation turned mixed martial arts prospect Tyrone Spong meets Angel DeAnda in the night’s co-featured attraction. Spong made his MMA debut in spectacular fashion by knocking out Travis Bartlett at WSOF 1 last November.
Rolles Gracie vs. Dave Huckaba and Justin Gaethje vs. Brian Cobb round out the four-fight main card, which airs live on NBC Sports Network at 11PM ET/8PM PT.
“We are coming off a spectacular event showcasing some of the world’s greatest mixed martial arts athletes and up-and-coming talent of the sport and are looking forward to returning to Las Vegas with another outstanding night of world-class competition in the World Series of Fighting cage on NBC Sports Network,” said WSOF president Ray Sefo.
