Fresh off a victorious UFC debut, light heavyweight Gegard Mousasi (pictured) wants to know what you think about him making a possible transition to the middleweight division.

“The Dreamcather” recently took to Twitter to take an open poll.

“Hey everybody, what you think about if I go to 185? I am curious what people think about this idea,” Mousasi tweeted.

Mousasi has not competed at middleweight since becoming Dream’s inaugural champion in the division in 2008. He has since fought almost exclusively at 205-pounds, capturing the Strikeforce and Dream light heavyweight titles along the way.

He made his long awaited big league debut earlier this month by beating Ilir Latifi. Mousasi was expected to headline the gig opposite Alexander Gustafsson, but “The Mauler” was forced to withdraw with an eyebrow gash just days before showtime.

Mousasi revealed after the unanimous decision victory that he entered the scrap with a knee so banged up his doctor demanded he undergo surgery immediately after.

No word on when the 27-year-old will go under the knife. When he does, Mousasi will have plenty of time to ponder whether a move to middleweight or to sticking at light heavyweight will provide the quicker title shot.
