Here is the play-by-play from Bisping vs. Belcher:

Interesting – Belcher had his ankles taped with signatures from the athletic commission (so they were approved), but he was forced to have them cut off before entering the Octagon. Bisping takes the center of the cage and presses the action. Belcher switching between regular and southpaw stances. Inside leg kick by Bisping. Bisping tags him with a right hand. Belcher answers with a right of his own. Bisping takes an accidental finger to the eye and time is called. Game on. Bisping lands a right hook just before the horn blares. Yeah, about that 1stRound KO guarantee…

5thRound scored it: Bisping, 10-9.

Perhaps both middleweights are weary of pulling the trigger after all the smack talk coming in. Bisping nails him with a straight right. He follows up with another big right. And again. Not necessarily the barn burner fans were expecting and they are letting them hear it. Bisping connects with a left hook. Belcher finally scores with a left punch. Now a left-right combo by Belcher.

5thRound scored it: Bisping, 10-9.

Belcher comes out with a greater sense of urgency. It’s not helping, because Bisping continues to beat him to the punch. Bisping is easily winning this kickboxing battle. Bisping unleashes a flurry. Belcher’s pace has slowed significantly. Belcher is trying, but he’s been at least a step slow all night. Belcher goes down with a bad eye poke and time is called. The fight is stopped. Belcher was bleeding from the eye. It’s the same right eye Belcher had retina surgery on in the past.

Official Result:

Michael Bisping Defeats Alan Belcher via Technical Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
