Jon Jones Among Six UFC 159 Fighters to Receive Indefinite Medial Suspension

The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board has medically suspended 14 athletes who competed in Saturday’s “UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen” event.

Six of the fighters, including reigning UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones (pictured), will be ridng the pine indefinitely for various injuries sustained in their respective scraps.

All six of those contestants will be able to return to action with a doctor’s note.

Jones will be sidelined due to the broken left big toe he suffered during his first round TKO victory over Chael Sonnen.

Prudential Center in Newark hosted Saturday’s show.

Here is the event’s official IR list:

Jon Jones: Suspended indefinitely until cleared for left foot.

Chael Sonnen: Suspended 45 days for facial laceration.

Alan Belcher: Suspended indefinitely until cleared for right eye.

Cheick Kongo: Suspended 30 days for KO loss.

Phil Davis: Suspended indefinitely until cleared for left knee and x-rays on left thumb.

Pat Healy: Suspended 45 days for facial lacerations.

Jim Miller: Suspended indefinitely until CT scan on head. Regardless, suspended for 60 days.

Yancy Medieros: Suspended indefinitely until cleared for right thumb.

Gian Villante: Suspended indefinitely until cleared for left eye and x-rays of lower leg and ankle.

Sheila Gaff: Suspended 30 days for TKO loss.

Bryan Caraway: Suspended 30 days.

Johnny Bedford: Suspended 60 days for facial laceration.

Steven Siler: Suspended 45 days for scalp laceration.

Kurt Holobaugh: Suspended 60 days for lower lip laceration.
