There was plenty of pre-fight chatter between Michael Bisping (pictured) and Alan Belcher heading into UFC 159. Unfortunately for fans, most of the fireworks with the pair ended there.
As long as Bisping isn’t fighting in a top contender contest, he tends to walk the walk after talking the talk. That’s what happened Saturday against Belcher.
“The Count” continued to beat Belcher to the punch. He was well on his way to taking a unanimous decision win before he accidentally poked Belcher in the eye in the final round.
The scrap was stopped and taken to the scorecards. Bisping ended up leaving with a technical decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) win.
It wasn’t how Bisping intended to beat his rival, but as unfortunate as it is, a win is a win.
UFC 159 took place inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
