Dana Pulling for Fedor This Saturday –  UFC president Dana White states that he’ll be sitting in front of his plasma and backing Fedor Emelianenko when he makes his American primetime debut on Saturday.

His words might throw you for a loop, however his intentions end up benefiting the UFC in the end.

“The reality is, I hope that Buck (Brett) Rogers doesn’t knock him out,” White stated. “Because I want to get Fedor in the UFC. I want to see him fight Brock Lesnar.”

The brash Prez has a great point, especially since he’s still banking on Strikeforce joining every other MMA organization not named the UFC as MMA roadkill.

If Emelianenko can keep his aura of invincibility rolling by the time White anticipates his “local-show” rivals going under, Fedor will have no choice but to FINALLY sign with the UFC and take on mixed martial arts’ most physically polarizing figure in UFC champ Brock Lesnar.

However, a lot has to go wrong for Strikeforce in order for White’s plan to come to fruition, and their partnership with CBS won’t help his cause. That deal should ensure at least one year of some decent MMA competition.

Don’t forget the fact that Rogers holds a perfect 10-0 professional record, with all of them ending in finishes.

In addition, the former Sam’s Club employee’s relentless style and youthful hunger could possibly be the worst combo for a fat and happy legend, IF that’s where Fedor is headed. The man broke training camp to get hitched earlier this month, about one month before his showdown.

“He’s fighting a dangerous guy,” White expressed about the threats Rogers presents. “I don’t think [Fedor’s] that good. I think he’s overrated and I think he might get knocked out.”

The heavyweight clash will be going off inside the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Don’t forget to catch the CBS broadcast, you know Dana won’t.
