UFC 161 might be jumping off this Saturday in Canada, but that hasn’t stopped the world’s most prestigious mixed martial arts promotion from completing the 13-fight roster for UF “163: Aldo vs. Pettis.”
The August 3 event takes place inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
A featherweight title tilt between champion Jose Aldo and Anthony Pettis (pictured) headlines the pay-per-view broadcast. Light heavyweights Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis serve as the co-main event.
Just a fair warning to every non-Brazilian fighting at UFC 163, there was a Brazilian winner in every fight last weekend at UFC on FUEL TV 10.
Here are the athletes expected to perform in jiu jitsu country (bout order still being finalized):
Viscardi Andrade vs. Bristol Marunde
John Lineker vs. Phil Harris
Robert Drysdale vs. Ednaldo Oliveira
Ian McCall vs. Iliarde Santos
Rani Yahya vs. Josh Clopton
