On a night where the UFC tied the most decisions rendered in a single event with nine, three of which were of the split decision variety, there was bound to be some controversial verdicts made by the three judges sitting cageside.
Unfortunately for Dan Henderson, he was on the wrong end of a debatable (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) split decision to Rashad Evans (pictured) in the show’s featured attraction.
UFC president Dana White said the contest was so close, the decision could have gone either way.
On 5thRound.com’s unofficial, yet totally awesome scorecard, we had Henderson taking the opening frame 10-9, while Evans rallied to win the final two stanzas by the same margins.
MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Canada hosted Saturday’s show.
