Invicta FC knows a potential money maker when they see it. Forget about this Ustream pay-per-view nonsense they have been utilizing in the two previous shows, the all-women’s mixed martial arts promotion will use cable and satellite PPV to showcase the biggest female fight outside of what the UFC offers.
“Invicta 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen 2” takes place July 13 inside Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. Marloes Coenen and Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino will battle to become the organization’s inaugural featherweight champion in the show’s featured attraction.
The PPV broadcast begins live at 9PM ET/6PM PT via iN Demand, DISH, Avail-TVN in the United States, as well as Bell TV in Canada. The card comes with a $14.95 price tag.
It is believed international fans can order the show on Ustream.
“We are excited about bringing the Invicta FC brand of women’s world championship Mixed Martial Arts to television for the first time with this tremendous rematch between two of the world’s top women fighters,” said Invicta president Shannon Knapp. “This is yet another step forward for women’s MMA and we are extremely proud to be leading the charge.”
