Pat Healy’s (pictured) impressive big league debut was spoiled with a flunked post-fight drug test. Now that his three-month marijuana suspension is about to end, the UFC didn’t do “Bam Bam” any favors in his return.
It was announced Sunday night Healy will face undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 165.
Healy initially submitted Jim Miller at UFC 159. However, his April victory was subsequently overturned to a no contest on the account of weed.
The win not only cost the lightweight the biggest highlight on his resume, but also $130,000 in bonuses.
Nurmagomedov owns an unblemished 20-0 professional record. The 24-year-old made his Octagon debut in January 2012 and already holds wins over Abel Trujillo, Thiago Tavares, Gleison Tibau and Kamal Shalorus.
The September 21 event takes place inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
