The UFC 166 fight card is filling up fast. On Wednesday evening, a lightweight contest between KJ Noons (pictured) and George Sotiropoulos was announced to the October 21 event.
TheAgeSport first reported the matchup, which the UFC subsequently confirmed by re-tweeting their article.
Both lightweights could be fighting for their UFC lives, as each will be looking to snap a three-fight bout skid. Noons dropped a unanimous decision to Donald Cerrone in his big league debut at UFC 160.
Sotiropoulos was TKO’d by Ross Pearson the last time he hook center stage. The bitter rivals met after serving as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes.”
Prior to December’s outing, the 36-year-old Sotiropoulos lost to Rafael dos Anjos and Dennis Siver.
The 155-pound affair will appear in the night’s prelims.
UFC 166 takes place inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
