The two featured fights showcased at UFC 166 have been known for quite some time, but the three other scraps that will join them on the live pay-per-view broadcast wasn’t determined until recently.
The heavyweight trilogy between champion Cain Velasquez (pictured) and Junior dos Santos headlines the show. A 265-pound affair with archenemies Daniel Cormier and Roy Nelson serves as the co-main event.
A thrilling lightweight bout between former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez and Diego Sanchez gets third-to-top billing. Shawn Jordan vs. Gabriel Gonzaga and Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Boetsch round out the main card.
Toyota Center in Houston, Texas hosts the October 19 festivities.
